Do any of these scenarios apply to you?
- You’ve seen ads for copywriting courses that make promises about how you can earn great money while working at home in your pajamas, and you wonder if that’s really possible.
- You love to write, but you’ve always heard that it’s difficult or nearly impossible to make a living as a writer.
- You’ve been doing freelance writing for low-paying clients who you found on content mills, but you’re not sure how to find your own clients.
- You’re currently working in a job that you can’t stand going to every day, and you are ready to try something new.
- You have a job that you enjoy, but you’d like to make a little extra money on the side.
- You’re ready to launch a copywriting career, and you’re looking for an online copywriting course to build your skill set.
If you see yourself in any of these situations and you want to learn more about breaking into the world of freelance copywriting, keep reading.
I can tell you from personal experience that yes, you can make good money as a writer working from home. If you can deliver high-quality work that will help people’s businesses grow, they will pay you for it. The key is that you need to have top-notch skills so you can draw in clients and grow your freelance business. While I don’t spend the day in my pajamas, I do enjoy the flexibility of working from home as a freelance writer. If I can do it, so can you.
When I first started working as a freelance writer, I wrote for a few clients through a content mill and agencies. Most of these projects didn’t pay very well, but doing them made me realize that I truly wanted to make a full-time career as a freelance writer. I just didn’t know how to jump from making peanuts to making real money that I could actually use to pay bills and have a little more financial breathing room.
Then I saw a Facebook ad for the Filthy Rich Writer’s Comprehensive Copywriting Academy (CCA). By the time I ran across this ad, I had a few years of freelance experience writing website copy and blog posts, but I had never taken a professional copywriting course. I had a degree in communications and I had previous experience working in marketing, but that was many years ago. I had to work hard and learn a lot to bring my skills up to date. With what I learned in the CCA, I was able to build on my existing skills and become a more effective copywriter.
Now, I want to be clear that you do not need to have professional writing or marketing experience to enroll in this course. It’s designed to work for those who are just starting out with no experience, so it covers everything you need to know. There are people from many different backgrounds who are enrolled in the CCA, including teachers, medical professionals, military spouses, attorneys, administrative personnel, and stay-at-home moms.
I don’t want to sugar-coat anything. It’s hard work to learn the skills you need to launch a new copywriting career. It can be difficult and even stressful to step out of your comfort zone and make such a huge change. If it were easy, everyone would do it. But if you’re willing to put in the work and be persistent, you can do this.
This course has been an absolute game-changer for me. It has helped me so much that I want to share information about it to encourage others to go after their dreams as well.

What is a Copywriter?
There is a difference between content writing and copywriting. Content writing is designed to inform, entertain, or build a brand’s presence. Examples of content writing are blog posts, articles, email newsletters, and eBooks.
Copywriting is designed to persuade consumers to take action, such as signing up for something or making a purchase. Examples of copywriting are website copy, ads, landing pages, and email marketing campaigns.
This course has been life-changing for me. Through this training, I have learned how to write effective copy, how to find my own clients, and how to make great money. I have now settled into writing both content and copy. My typical workweek may include writing anything from website copy and brand personas to blog posts and articles and everything in between.

FAQ
Yes! Copywriting requires a completely different skillset than other types of writing require, so even if you had writing experience, the odds are that it wouldn’t be the right kind of experience, in this case anyway. Copywriting requires knowledge of consumer behavior and psychology to write in a way that persuades them to purchase an item or take action. Copywriting is a skill that you can learn.
There is a common perception that it’s difficult or nearly impossible to make good money as a writer. The founder of the Filthy Rich Writer, Nicki Krawczyk, chose the name. Her intention was to make people stop, think, and open up to the idea that you can actually make a living as a writer. The term was meant to get your attention, and it did.
According to her website, “Filthy Rich” in this context means “having a job you love, being good at what you do, and making great money doing it.” It might sound a little extraordinary, but so is this course.
